Southern Hills Hospital proudly announces that it has named Maura Wright as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) effective Sept. 16. Wright is currently the Associate CNO at Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Fla.

“Southern Hills Hospital is fortunate to have Maura Wright join our team,” said Kimball Anderson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Southern Hills Hospital. “Maura’s drive and compassion for patient safety, quality healthcare and high customer service standards will greatly benefit our patients, their families, physicians, employees and volunteers.”

At Osceola, Maura managed Perioperative Services, ICU, Nursing Supervision, Bed Management and the Float Pool. Maura’s leadership in the operating room and Sterile Processing Department resulted in Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Joint Commission surveys with zero findings. Prior to Osceola, Maura worked at various healthcare facilities as a director of orthopedic and neuroscience, critical care educator and a case management RN.

Maura is currently a candidate for a Doctoral in Health Administration and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Panama.

Wright assumes the role of CNO at Southern Hills, following the promotion of Southern Hills CNO Natalie Ransom to the position of CNO of sister facility MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas.
